About Me

Choosing a therapist can be a daunting task. There are so many different types of training and approaches it can be hard to know which is most suitable. Often this means that we miss the most important requirement; that you feel comfortable with the therapist you see. Your therapist needs to ensure you feel listened to and that you can build trust with them.

I have experience working with children, young people and adults, with a full range of mental health conditions. These include:

  • Trauma/PTSD/Complex trauma

  • Obsessive compulsive disorder

  • Anxiety or Panic

  • Psychosis

  • Emotionally unstable personality disorder (also known as Borderline personality disorder)

  • Eating disorder

  • Dissociation

  • Depression/Postnatal depression

Working within the NHS, the charitable sector and in private services has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of people including those in business, the police, NHS professionals, the military, parents, children, as well as those who are homeless and those who have been in prison.

All my work is face to face, I do not offer online or phone sessions.

No matter what a person’s history or background may be, their life and wellbeing matters. I am always intrigued to hear about what brings a person to therapy, and to work with them to understand the issues they are facing. I recognise that it can be hard to share personal information and to trust someone with your greatest fears. It is important to me that we work together to build a trusting relationship and work at a pace that is suitable for you or your child.

Request an assessment appointment

If you are interested in accessing therapy sessions with me, I would first need to meet with you for an assessment. This gives me the opportunity to find out more about you (or your child) and whether I might be the right person to offer support. It will also give you the opportunity to meet me, ask any questions you may have and see whether you would feel comfortable with me offering support.

An assessment takes between 30 minutes and an hour and will be face to face at my practice room near Leigh Woods. To arrange an appointment you can either email me directly or go to the contact page on the website.

Assessments are free of charge.

Where am I based?

All sessions are face to face at my premises near Leigh Woods, Bristol BS8 3QA.

The private lane to the building is accessed in the middle of the traffic light junction on Abbots Leigh Road directly opposite the turning to Beggar Bush Lane.

Parking is available up the lane just before the gravel driveway to the property.

The X4 bus stops near the end of the lane close to the junction.
